Thus, having satiated the Goddess three times, having performed the worship with flowers, one should perform the worship of the enclosure, as stated by the precept. / There, having worshipped the central seed-syllable as Mahālakṣmī, and Mahākālī and Mahāsarasvatī at the left and right seed-syllables; / [reciting the] root mantra: / 'O Supreme Goddess whose nature is consciousness, lover of the supreme nectar of bliss, / grant me permission, O Goddess, to worship your retinue!' / Having thus requested permission, / then with perfume and unbroken rice: / to the heart; in the south-east: 'To the head, *svāhā*! Homage to the Head-Goddess!' In the south-west: 'Oṃ hrīṃ, to the crest, *vaṣaṭ*!' In the north-west: '... to the armor, *huṃ*! To the Armor-Goddess!' In the north-east: '... to the three eyes, *vauṣaṭ*! To the Eye-Goddess!' In front: '... to the weapon, *phaṭ*! To the Weapon-Goddess!' in the directions. / Such is the worship of the limbs. / 'For all these deities of the first enclosure, to serve as all offerings, I present perfume and unbroken rice. / May these deities of the first enclosure, along with their limbs, retinues, and weapons, worshipped and satiated with all offerings, be bestowers of boons upon me!' / Having thus prayed: / 'Grant me the fulfillment of my desires, O Caṇḍikā worshipped by the gods! / With devotion I offer to you this worship of the first enclosure.' Thus one should present a flower to the Goddess. Such is the first enclosure. / Right there one should worship the three lineages of gurus or the four gurus. / As it is said: / 'Or else the gurus indicated earlier in all the tantras, / spoken of in the morning rite.' / Offering unbroken rice and flowers, prayer, and offering a handful of flowers should be performed as before. Such is the second enclosure. / In the eastern corner of the triangle: '... to Sarasvatī and Brahmā!' In the south-western corner: '... to Viṣṇu and Lakṣmī!'
