śrīdevy uvāca /
kimādhāre yajec chambhuṃ kṛpayā vada śaṃkara /
ādhārabhede deveśa sādhakaḥ phalabhāg bhavet //
The noble Goddess said:
On what base should one worship Śambhu? Tell me kindly, O Śaṅkara.
Depending on the difference of the base, O Lord of gods, does the practitioner (sādhaka) obtain the fruit?
