dīrghādyā mātaraḥ proktā hrasvādyā bhairavāḥ smṛtāḥ .
anyat sarvaṃ pūrvavadbodhām .. 48 ..
asya puraścaraṇajapo daśalakṣaḥ .
trimadhurānvitaiḥ palāśapuṣpairdaśāṃśa homaḥ .

"The Mothers are stated to begin with the long vowels; the Bhairavas are taught to begin with the short vowels. / All else is to be understood as before." (48) / The recitation for its preliminary propitiation is one million. / The oblation of one-tenth is with palāśa flowers mixed with the three sweet things.
