Resplendent like a dark cloud, terrifying enemies with her glances, bearing the crescent moon bound in her crest, / holding in her hands a conch, discus, sword, and trident, three-eyed,
mounted upon the shoulders of a lion, filling the entire three worlds with her splendor, / one should meditate upon Durgā named Jayā, surrounded by the gods and attended by those desiring spiritual perfections. / Having thus meditated and worshipped with mental offerings, one should prepare the vessel for the arghya offering.
