“And one should utter: ‘To the one residing in the rising solar orb, / arisen from eternal consciousness, svāhā’—this is remembered as the mantra.” / Elsewhere, in the mantra of Kālikā, there is the use of the word “kālikā” in place of the word “ekajaṭā”. (41) / Then, having visualized the deity in the solar orb and recited the root mantra according to his capacity, having brought the deity into his own heart with the dissolution mudrā, having bowed to the sacred ford, he should enter the place of worship: this is the rule for bathing. (42) / Then, having completed the procedure from establishing the general water offering up to sitting down on the seat as taught in the initiation manual, on the left: “oṃ, homage to the gurus; oṃ, homage to the supreme gurus; oṃ, homage to the parāpara gurus”; / on the right: “oṃ, homage to Gaṇeśa”; / on the head, having uttered the root [mantra]: “homage to such-and-such deity”.
