svanigamamapahāya matpratijñā mṛtamadhikartumavapluto rathasthaḥ .
dhṛtarathacaraṇo'bhyayāccalatguḥ haririva hantumibhaṃ gatottarīyaḥ ..6..

Giving up his own vow in order to make true and supreme my own vow, he leaped down from the chariot, / seized a chariot wheel, and rushed forward shaking the earth, his upper garment falling away, like a lion running to kill an elephant. (6)
