Victorious, that is, exists in absolute supremacy, is that primordial divine power, the undelimited Supreme Sovereign Goddess Mahātripurasundarī. She is called "Tripurā"—celebrated in all Upaniṣads—because she consists of the thirty-six ontological principles from Śiva down to the earth, constitutes all cosmic manifestation, and transcends it; she is called Tripurā because she exists prior to the three luminaries, and her supreme excellence is proclaimed everywhere in the Āgamas.
