yāmeṣa bhuṅkte śuddhāntātpūrvaṃ paścādapi prabhuḥ ||
I worship the sandal, the origin of Śauri's erotic sports, / which the Lord enjoys / before the inner chambers, and afterwards as well.

anulimpati pāduke svayaṃ tvāmanurūpeṇa padena raṅganātha ||
O sandal, Raṅganātha himself anoints you / with his fitting foot, / muddy with the pollen wet with nectar from the crest-garlands of bowing lords of the thirty [gods].
10.3
avadātahimāṃśukānuṣaktaṃ padarakṣe tvayi raṅgiṇaḥ kadācit |
kimapi sthitamadvitīyamālyaṃ viralāvasthitamauktikaṃ smarāmi ||
I recall that incomparable garland attached to the white camphor / that once remained upon you, the foot-protector of the Lord of Raṅgam, / with pearls set far apart.

sudṛśaḥ svayamarcayanti dūrādavataṃsotpalavāsitairapāṅgaiḥ ||
O sandal, holding Raṅganātha unaccompanied / at the threshold of the courtyard of the inner apartments, / the fair-eyed women themselves worship you from afar / with sidelong glances scented by blue lotuses worn as ear-ornaments.
10.5
nirviśyamānamapi nūtanasanniveśaṃ kaivalyakalpitavibhūśaṇakāyakāntim |
kāleṣu nirviśasi raṅgayuvānamekā śṛṅgāranityarasikaṃ maṇipādarakṣe ||
You alone, O jewel footwear, at various times enjoy / the youth of Raṅgam, who, though always experienced, ever appears anew, / whose bodily splendor has the adornments formed of isolation, / and who ever relishes the erotic mood.
10.6
nidrāyitasya kamiturmaṇipāduke tvaṃ paryaṅkikāparisaraṃ pratipadyamānā |
śvāsānilapracalitena bhajasyabhīkṣṇaṃ nābhīsarojarajasā navamaṅgarāgam ||
O jeweled sandal, as you approach the side of the small bed / of your lover while he sleeps,
you constantly receive a fresh cosmetic balm from the pollen of the navel-lotus, / agitated by the breeze of his breath.
10.7
śayitavati rajanyāṃ pāduke raṅgabandhau caraṇakamalapārśve sādaraṃ vartase tvam |
phaṇipatiśayanīyādutthitasya prabhāte prathamanayanapātaṃ pāvanaṃ prāptukāmā ||
O sandal, when the kinsman of Raṅgam sleeps at night, you remain respectfully at the side of his lotus feet, / eager to receive in the morning the purifying first glance / of him who has arisen from the serpent lord's bed.

caraṇakamalasaṅgādraṅganāthasya nityaṃ nigamaparimalaṃ tvaṃ pāduke nirvamantī |
niyatamatiśayānā vartase sāvarodhaṃ hṛdayamadhivasantīṃ mālikāṃ vaijayantīm ||
O sandal, constantly breathing forth the fragrance of the Vedas from contact with the lotus feet of Raṅganātha, / you certainly surpass the Vaijayantī garland / that dwells upon his chest along with his royal consorts.

That charming lotus foot of the slayer of Cāṇūra, / which should be worn as a crest constantly by the maidens of the Upaniṣads, / and is worthy to be massaged by the hands of the daughter of the ocean, / is for you, O divine foot-guard, a play-lotus.
