akhilabhuvanarakṣānāṭikāṃ darśayiṣya-nnanimiṣatarupuṣpairarcite raṅgamadhye |
abhinayamanurūpaṃ śikṣayatyātmanā tvāṃ prathamavihitalāsyaḥ pāduke raṅganāthaḥ ||

Intending to present the drama of the protection of the entire world / on the central stage of Raṅgam, adorned with flowers from the trees of the gods, / Raṅganātha, having first performed the graceful dance Himself, / instructs you, O sandal, in the fitting dramatic gesture.
