ratnāsane rāghavapādarakṣe pradīpyamānāstava padmarāgāḥ |
prāyo narendrān bharatasya jetuḥ pratāpavahnerabhavanprarohāḥ ||

Blazing upon the jewelled throne, O foot-protector of Rāghava, / your rubies were, in truth, the shooting flames / of the fire of prowess of victorious Bharata against [hostile] kings.
