padasarasijametatpāduke raṅgabhartuḥ pratinidhipadavīṃ te gāhate svena bhūmnā |
tadidamaparathā cet tiṣṭhatastasya nityaṃ kathamiva viditārthāstvāṃ bhajante mahāntaḥ ||

This lotus foot of the Lord of Raṅgam enters upon the status of your representative through its own greatness;
if this were otherwise, how indeed could the great, knowing the truth, worship you while he stands there forever?
