With this Great Consecration of Indra, Udamaya Ātreya consecrated Aṅga.
Therefore Aṅga went round the earth completely on every side, conquering it, and sacrificed with a sacrificial horse.
He, Aṅga, indeed said:
"I give you, O brāhmaṇa, ten thousand elephants and ten thousand maidservants; invite me [to participate] in this sacrifice!"
Regarding this, these verses are also sung:
"With the cattle by which the Priyamedhas caused Udamaya to sacrifice, / the Ātreya gave two thousand from each herd of beasts from the middle. / Eighty-eight thousand white horses, / having detached the draft-horses, the son of Virocana gave while sacrificing as the domestic priest. / Brought together from every region, of all the wealthy daughters, / the Ātreya gave ten thousand, wearing gold necklaces. / Having given ten thousand elephants at Avacatnuka, / exhausted, the brāhmaṇa sought servants through the gift of Aṅga. / Saying 'A hundred to you, a hundred to you,' he would faint; / saying 'A thousand to you,' he recovered his breaths."
