The gods, having slain the Asuras, considered themselves as if unpurified, unhallowed. They desired: 'May we be purified, hallowed, prepared; may we go to the heavenly world.' They saw these verses. With them they purified themselves: 'Being purified, O Soma, with your stream, clothing yourself in the waters, you flow.' The waters indeed are purification; by means of the waters they purified themselves. 'Bestowing treasures, you sit in the womb of the Ṛta.' The intermediate space indeed is Ṛta; through this they traversed the intermediate space. 'A golden divine spring.' That world indeed is the divine spring; through this they approached that world. Then indeed they became purified, hallowed, prepared; they went to the heavenly world. Purified, hallowed, prepared he becomes, he goes to the heavenly world, who has praised with these verses.
