One who desires procreation should use the two Janitras of Vasiṣṭha.
Vasiṣṭha, being overcome and his sons killed, desired: 'May I be procreated abundantly with offspring and cattle.'
He saw these two sāmans.
With them he praised.
Then he was procreated abundantly with offspring and cattle.
These two are procreative sāmans.
He is procreated abundantly with offspring and cattle who knows thus.
The Rathantara sāman has 'janitram'; the Bṛhat sāman has 'jānitrām'.
Because Vasiṣṭha saw them, therefore they are called the two Janitras of Vasiṣṭha.
