Therefore they praise on verses addressed to Indra.
[A hymn] addressed to Indra and Bṛhaspati is recited after.
Therefore also they praise on Kakubh verses.
For the midday pressing belongs to the Kakubh.
He alone said: 'Who and I shall go down after this?'
'I too,' said Viṣṇu.
The two went down after [them].
The two brought out one third.
With it they replenished the third pressing.
Therefore they praise on verses addressed to Indra.
[A hymn] addressed to Indra and Viṣṇu is recited after.
Therefore they praise on Anuṣṭubh verses.
For the third pressing belongs to the Anuṣṭubh.
They cut them off from everything.
From this they bring them forward to that; therefore they bring forward from [verses] containing 'pra' to [verses] containing 'ehi'.
For all this goes forward ('pra') and comes ('e').
Then the gods prevailed, the Asuras were defeated.
He thrives himself, and his hateful rival is defeated, who knows thus.
