Her teeth sounded like pressing-stones. Indra ran up, thinking, "The pressing-stones are speaking!" She spoke out:
"The maiden, going down to the water, found soma by the stream;
carrying it home she said: 'For Indra I will press you, for the mighty one I will press you!'"
Realizing, "Her teeth sound like pressing-stones," Indra turned away. She said to him:
"You hero over there who go about, looking into house after house,
drink this [soma] pressed by the jaws, accompanied by parched grain, gruel, cake, and hymn!"
Not minding [his hesitation], she said to him:
"We do not understand you, nor do we pay attention to you."
Thinking, "Before she finishes the half-verse, Apālā is praising me," he turned back.
"Slowly, as it were, very slowly, as it were, flow around, O drop, for Indra!"—
thus indeed he sucked the soma out of her mouth. It is like a drinking of soma for him who, knowing thus, smells the mouth of a woman.
