He raises them up with ukthas. That is the uktha-nature of the ukthas. To them he gives this divine honey, proper food by means of the eighties. Honey and food come to be his in this world and in yonder world, who knows thus. And with syllable after syllable the sciences milk all desires for him. Therefore [it] should be recited in a year, declared in a year. Therefore a Brahmin, when killed, does not rot. Therefore semen, when emitted, does not rot. Therefore he who knows thus does not rot. By means of the eighties the gods reached these worlds, these pathways. That is the eighty-nature of the eighties. By three [eighties] they reached this world, by three the atmosphere, by three yonder [sky]; by four they reached the directions, by four the intermediate regions, and by one that [region] which is upward. They became two ninety-eighties. Nine are the breaths; he attains the breaths; endowed with breaths he is brought forth; he goes to a full life; he does not die against his wish.
