For them, the consecration is together, the purchase [of Soma] is together, the upasads are together.
Having purchased [the Soma], however, they tie it up separately.
There are separate priests.
Regarding that, they say: 'This is a rival pressing (saṃsava) in that there are separate priests.
What is pressed at a distance is unpleasant enough;
so how much more when the priests are in close proximity? They should be the same.'
Yet, on the contrary, they would not be completed immediately in that manner; the priests should be separate.
They indeed choose the same lineage of seers (pravara); they pray for the same blessing;
therefore, the priests should just be separate.
Moreover they say: 'Having sacrificed first with Rāśi, having emerged from the purificatory bath, one should consecrate himself for Marāya.'
However, in that way they would be non-twins.
For the womb of twins is the same; they are born together; they grow together;
therefore they should just be together.
With these two indeed Ugrāyudha Mānaścitta sacrificed.
And also Alanda Vātsya; for the two of them there were more than a hundred [sons born] in one year, more than a hundred in another.
Thus they were propagated abundantly.
He is propagated abundantly with offspring and cattle who knows thus.
