—some standing, some flowing. Having thus driven apart and thrust away these waters, he ate food in this world. There was not a small amount, nor a middling, nor a great amount of food that was left over [uneaten by him]. In the same way, having driven apart and thrust away his hating rival, he who knows thus eats food in this world; there is not a small, nor a middling, nor a great amount of food that is left over. When he had won that food, all the gods gathered toward him. Truly, they could not find him. For placing that twenty-first [verse] of the Yajñāyajñīya upon those nine [verses] of the Bahiṣpavamāna, he lies down, having become endless, grasping around this food. And just as coals would be scattered in a vessel, so he remained invisible, endless, in these worlds. To them, unable to find him, he said: 'Praise me!'
