The eye is indeed the Triṣṭubh; fetching that very one, he binds it in the head. In that he binds it, therefore the eye is as if bound. He binds it being in another resting-place; therefore even during life the eye departs. He sings the Jagatī; the ear is indeed the Jagatī; fetching that very one, he binds it in the head. In that he binds it, therefore the ear is as if bound. He binds it being in another resting-place, whose resting-place is the third pressing. Because he binds it being in another resting-place, therefore even during life the ear departs. He sings the Anuṣṭubh; speech is indeed the Anuṣṭubh; fetching that very one, he binds it in the head. In that he binds it, therefore speech is as if bound. He binds it being in another resting-place, whose resting-place is the third pressing or whose resting-place is everywhere. Because he binds it being in another resting-place, therefore even during life speech departs. The other breaths depart, not the breath [itself].
