He measured them out.
Into them he laid the threefold Veda.
He extended them.
Into them he laid these three worlds.
He extended them.
He said: "Great indeed has this measure (māna) of theirs become!"
Because he said, "Great indeed has this measure of theirs become," that is the mahāmānī-nature of the Mahāmānīs.
Mahāmānīs indeed are these by name.
They are cryptically called "Mahānāmnīs."
He gave them to the gods.
With them the gods praised today;
they were able (aśaknuvan) tomorrow.
Now, because having praised today they were able tomorrow, that is the śakvarī-nature of the Śakvarīs.
He is able to do whatever he strives for, who knows thus.
The gods could not hold them up.
They gave them back to Prajāpati himself.
Having lived with Prajāpati for a year, they walked away.
He said: "Why have you walked away?"
