With it he praised him: / 'Indra of the handsome lips drank of the sap, well-skilled, of the pouring [libation] / of the drop, mixed with barley.' / He said to him, 'Desiring what do you praise me?' 'Bring this son of mine back together,' he said. Saying 'Chirn him out!' he churned him out. He brought him back together. That is this healing, expiatory sāman. A healing expiation he then made. That which is the seventh day is as if broken; that they heal with this. They make a healing expiation with this. Moreover, it is a wish-granter. He desired that wish; that wish was fulfilled for him. Whatever wish one desires when praising with this sāman, that wish is fulfilled for him. Because Suśravas Sthaurāyaṇa saw it, it is named the Sauśravasa.
