These become triṣṭubhs, possessing the color of the triṣṭubh, perfected through the form of the day. Where they prosper [the rite] with the form of the day, it succeeds there. He who knows thus succeeds. "These Somas [flow] toward what is dear"—[with the word] "toward" (abhi), there is the form of the rathantara; this day is connected with the rathantara. "They flowed according to the desire of Indra"—that which pertains to Indra is the form of the triṣṭubh; for the triṣṭubh is nobility. "Increasing his vital power"—for this day, which is the forty-four-fold [stoma], is great. The hymn becomes the counterpart; the hymn is cattle, cattle are the chandomas, for the acquisition of cattle.
