It is on the peak itself that they proceed establishing themselves. It takes place on the day belonging to the Jagatī. The form of the male is indeed the Bṛhat, that of the female is the Jagatī. Since the Bṛhat is the pṛṣṭha here, by that this day is made into a couple. Now the Vāmadevya. Cattle are indeed the Vāmadevya. Possessed of cattle indeed they become who have praised with it. 'Clinging as it were to the sun, all drink of Indra'—thus they contain 'all' (viśva); for this day belongs to the All-Gods. 'Treasures, born [and] future, for might'—thus they contain 'born' (jana); the form of the Jagatī contains 'born'; this day belongs to the Jagatī. 'We do not think of a counter-share; praise the munificent giver of wealth; auspicious are Indra's gifts; he who does not thwart the desire of him who serves him, urging his mind to give'—thus by this he prays for a blessing.
