According to this, the year is endless. Its two ends are winter and spring. According to this, the two ends of a village come together; according to this, the two ends of a necklace come together; according to this, a snake lies encircling its coils. That is this food. That divine wheel, inexhaustible, ever new, revolves hither and thither. He who knows this thus wins this endlessness, this inexhaustibleness, this ever-newness. With "Agni, come to the feast," they indeed summon him by this. With "Agni the messenger we choose," they indeed choose him by this. With "Agni is kindled by Agni," they indeed kindle him together. With "May Agni strike the Vṛtras down," they conquer this completely by this. With "Thy glories, as of lightning...", they bestow glory upon him by this. He who knows the case-form of the sixth day reaches full life. "To Jātavedas" (jātavedase) is indeed the case-form of the sixth day, and "O Agni" (agne). He who knows this reaches full life.
