Having placed the moon in this world as a substitute, he ascended upward with the twenty-onefold [stoma]. He went to where Āditya is. There he created the All-Gods. He created the end. These [creatures] followed along and rushed upon him. They resolved to eat him. He considered: 'Come, let me ascend upward.' Having placed Āditya in this world as a substitute, he ascended upward with the twenty-sevenfold [stoma]. He went to where Varuṇa is. There he did not create anything. They followed him. They resolved to eat him. He considered: 'Come, let me ascend upward.'
