On this they say: How do the stomas become one stoma? How do the meters become one meter? How do the days become one day? How do the forms become one form? How do the pṛṣṭhas become one sacrificial formula? How do the sāmans become one sāman? How do the Vedas become one Veda? How, having become this all, being one, in what are they established? He should say: By 'stoma', the stomas become one; by 'meter', the meters become one; by 'day', the days become one; by 'form', the forms become one; by 'pṛṣṭha', the pṛṣṭhas become one; by 'deity', the deities become one; by 'verse', the verses become one; by 'sacrificial formula', the sacrificial formulas become one; by 'sāman', the sāmans become one; by 'Veda', the Vedas become one. Mind, having become this all, being one, is established in breath. On this they say: Mind, having become this all, being one, is established in breath—in what then is breath established?
