He saw this finale. He adopted it. Then it ceased [raining] for them. Truly by the power of this sāman Parjanya both rains and ceases. If one should desire rain, one should chant praise with this very [sāman] without a finale. Parjanya will surely become rainy for him. And if it should rain excessively, he should adopt this very finale; then it ceases for him. Parjanya both rains and ceases for him who knows thus. Because those creatures, sated and having eaten, were exalted, that is the Āmahīyava-ness of the Āmahīyava. Wives indeed, sated, exalt him who is sated, who knows thus. Having obtained food, they did not revere him. They were just like carousers together. For food is prosperity. He grieved; he was not exalted. He considered: "How now may I create these creatures so that, once created, they do not disrespect me?" He saw this sāman. He praised with it.
