Prajāpati offered that fire-offering for twelve days.

Having offered that fire-offering for twelve days, Prajāpati, passing it on to the gods and the seers, departed upwards to the heavenly world itself.
The gods and the seers offered that fire-offering for twelve days.
Having offered it for twelve days, passing it on to the earlier men, they departed upwards to the heavenly world itself.
Brahman indeed offered that fire-offering for twelve days,
Prajāpati for twelve days, the gods and seers for twelve days.
