2-7.220
Now Agastya realized only afterwards: 'These ṛṣis, having established offspring in this world, have gone to the heavenly world.' He desired: 'May I also, having established offspring in this world, follow to the heavenly world.' He saw this sixteenfold stoma. He brought it forth. He sacrificed with it. The heavenly world is the sixteenfold of the stomas. Therefore, having established offspring in this world, he followed to the heavenly world. Having established offspring in this world, he who knows thus follows to the heavenly world. Therefore, when an Āgastya approaches Brahmins, he is like a mere follower. For this sixteenfold stoma is like a follower among the stomas. Therefore, the Agastyas are outside the Kuru-Pañcālas. For this sixteenfold stoma is outside the [regular] stomas.
