Brahman, indeed, is the Jyotiragniṣṭoma. With brahman, indeed, he grasps offspring and cattle on both sides so that they are not scattered; property is not scattered away from him who knows thus. Now, for whom there are two Jyotiragniṣṭomas on either side, and the Go and Āyus Ukthyas in between, with a Jyotiragniṣṭoma in the middle: one who desires, 'May a possessor of spiritual luster be born in my offspring,' should sacrifice with this. Splendor, indeed, is spiritual luster; [it is] the Jyotiragniṣṭoma. And procreation is from the middle of oneself. In that the Jyotiragniṣṭoma is in the middle, he places light right in the middle of himself; a possessor of spiritual luster is indeed born in his offspring. The Go and Āyus are the two Ukthyas in between. Ukthas are indeed cattle. Their stoma verses are five hundred. With cattle, indeed, he grasps on both sides the offspring endowed with spiritual luster. Two Jyotiratirātras are on either side. These two worlds, indeed, are the two Atirātras. With these two worlds, indeed, he grasps offspring and cattle on both sides so that they are not scattered; property is not scattered away from him who knows thus.
