—Govarna Khālateya [prophesied]: "He will become worse off.
Right at the beginning he placed food in the mouth.
When food reaches the mouth, it rots right there: whether he swallows, it rots; whether he spits, it rots. He made the food rot; he will become worse off."
And it happened just like that.
He indeed became worse off.
They said to him: "This own pupil of yours, Govarna Khālateya—he indeed prophesied against you."
He said to him: "You, then, sacrifice for me with this sacrifice!"
"So be it," he said.
"Just as one would repair a damaged chariot or a cart, so shall I repair you."
For him he made the first day ninefold, then fifteenfold, then twenty-onefold, then twenty-sevenfold, then thirty-threefold, then seventeenfold, then seventeenfold.
Two seventeenfold [days] following each other.
With this Govarna Khālateya made his teacher sacrifice.
"The pṛṣṭhya six-day period is indeed the body; the seventeenfold is food.
He will step up to food from above the body itself.
And obtained above, food will be at your disposal; from the seventeenfold, from food to food, your offspring will become eaters of food," he said.
