2-8.325
From a pair that is deficient and redundant, indeed, offspring and cattle are born.
With the two they surround the Triṇava stoma.
Those two generate that very [stoma].
As to that they say: 'Indeed, stomas are reached, meters are reached, deities are reached, seasons and houses are reached, when this Pṛṣṭhya six-day period is reached.'
On the seventh day they should chant on [verses] addressed to Agni that are fresh.
Agni indeed is unexhausted among the gods.
Seeing Agni as unexhausted among the gods, they thus sacrifice.
On the eighth day they should chant on [verses] addressed to Indra that are fresh.
Indra indeed is unexhausted among the gods.
Seeing Indra as unexhausted among the gods, they thus sacrifice.
On the ninth day they should chant on [verses] addressed to the All-Gods that are fresh.
The All-Gods indeed are unexhausted among the gods.
Seeing the All-Gods as unexhausted among the gods, they thus sacrifice.
The Atirātra contains all stomas, for conquering, for stepping across all the worlds.
For all this is the stomas alone.
And [they say]: 'Those stomas which we have undertaken one by one—having accomplished them together and being established in them, may we reach the conclusion.'
