In that they cause the Ārya to conquer the Śūdra, it is that [sun] they wrest from their spiteful rival. / Of two others, one reviles and the other praises. / He who reviles purifies them. / Then he who praises places faculty and vital power in these purified ones. / They run a race. / The race is this supreme greatness; [it is] for the attainment of the supreme greatness. / They are armored. / Supreme is brilliance in an armored one. / They place supreme brilliance in themselves. / Women with full water-jars walk around the mārjālīya for the attainment of fullness, / singing: 'Ah great, ah great!' for the attainment of greatness, / [and singing:] 'This is honey, this is honey!' As honey indeed this is made for the gods, namely, the Mahāvrata. / Supreme is the essence in honey; [it is] for the attainment of the supreme essence. / Regarding this they say: 'They might be eaten if they were to walk around singing: "Ah great, this is honey!" / They should walk around singing only: "Ah great!"' / But Śāṭyāyani said: 'When one is, when one exists, then one is eatable. / What would they eat of non-existence? / They should walk around singing: "Ah great, this is honey!"'
