He thus establishes this arm. Therefore this arm is firmly fixed. [He sings] with straightforward [verses], without returning back. Therefore one contracts and extends this arm. Being three, he makes them fifteen. Therefore this arm swells when one grows fat and shrinks when one grows thin. Vital power indeed is the Bṛhat; vital power is the fifteenfold [stoma]. Because he sings the Bṛhat on the fifteenfold wing, therefore this [right arm] has greater vital power between the two arms. And therefore birds float around along with the right wing. This indeed is the form of the male, namely the Bṛhat; the Rathantara is that of the female. Because they praise from this [right] side with the Bṛhat, and from that [left] side with the Rathantara, therefore a man lies beside a woman on the right side. The Brāhmaṇācchaṃsin sings with the seventeenfold wing, using the Rathantara. He thus establishes that [other] arm. Therefore this arm is firmly fixed. [He sings] with straightforward [verses], without returning back. Therefore one contracts and extends this arm. Being three, he makes them seventeen. Therefore this arm swells when one grows fat and shrinks when one grows thin.
