4.14
It is performed on a procreative day.
With offspring and cattle he is born, who knows thus.
Therefore indeed this sāman should not be omitted from this day.
This sāman is indeed procreative.
This day is procreative.
In what is procreative, what is procreative is performed.
Regarding this they also say: '[It was the vision] of Aśva Sāmudri.'
Aśva Sāmudri desired: 'May I obtain cattle; may I reach the abundance of cattle.'
He saw this sāman.
He praised with it.
Then indeed he obtained cattle; he reached the abundance of cattle.
This is a cattle-granting sāman.
He obtains cattle, he reaches the abundance of cattle, who knows thus.
Because Aśva Sāmudri saw it, therefore it is called the Āśva.
Moreover, they say: 'By the Āśva the gods, having become horses, went to the heavenly world.'
That indeed is the horse-nature of the Āśva.
That indeed of it is heavenly.
He attains the heavenly world, who knows thus.
