tad enam svena rūpeṇa samardhayanti /

ful. Now some perform it on Triṣṭubh verses ; he who here gives heat is connected with the Triṣṭubh; thus it with its own metre they make successful. ‘Let it be performed on Bṛhatī verses’ some say; he who here gives heat is connected with the Bṛhatī; thus with its own metre they make it successful. But the rule is ‘Let it be performed on Jagatī verses’; he who here gives heat is connected with the Jagatī; thus with its own metre they make it successful.
