yās akṛṇtan avayan yās atanvata
yās ca devyas antān abhitas adadanta /
tās tvā devyas jarasā sam-vyayantu
āyuṣmati idam pari-dhatsva vāsas //

They who cut, who wove, who stretched out [the threads],
and which goddesses fashioned the edges all around—
may those goddesses clothe you until old age;
O long-lived one, put on this garment!
