sam āpas hṛdayāni nau /
sam mātariśvā sam dhātā
sam u deṣṭrī dadhātu nau //
May the All-Gods unite,
may the Waters unite the hearts of us two!
May Mātariśvan, may Dhātṛ,
and may Deṣṭrī unite us two!
