trayodaśaitā āhutayo bhavanti trayodaśa vai māsāḥ samvatsarasya samvatsaraḥ prajāpatiḥ prajāpatiryajñastatprajāpatimevaitadyajñam bhiṣajyati
These are thirteen oblations,--for there are thirteen months in the year, and the year is Pragâpati, and Pragâpati is the sacrifice: it is thus Pragâpati, the sacrifice, he thereby heals.
