athādhvaryureva pratiparetya | patnīḥ saṃyājayatyupāsta eva pratiprasthātā patnīḥ saṃyājyodaityadhvaryuḥ
Thereupon the Adhvaryu returns (to the Gârhapatya fire) and performs the Patnîsamyâgas. The Pratiprasthâtri, in the meantime, remains waiting. After performing the Patnîsamyâgas, the Adhvaryu steps up (to the northern fire).
