tenopāṃśu caranti | tiraiva vai pitarastira ivaitadyadupāṃśu tasmādupāṃśu caranti
They perform this (sacrifice) in a low voice. Secret, indeed, are the fathers, and secret also is (what is spoken) in a low voice: hence they perform (the offering) in a low voice.
