atho api trayastriṃśatsyuḥ | trayastriṃśadakṣarā vai virāḍvirājaivāsmiṃloke pratitiṣṭhati
But there may also be thirty-three (steps); for of thirty-three syllables also consists the Virâg; and by means of the Virâg, he obtains a firm footing in this world.
