tāṃ yadārcirārohati | athāsmintsamidhamādadhāti reto vā enāmetadāpadyata eṣo 'gnistasminnetāṃ retasi sambhūtiṃ dadhāti
When the flame mounts up to it, he places a kindling-stick thereon: thereby the seed enters it (the fire-pan), and that fire imparts growth to that seed (in the shape of) this (kindling-stick).
