yá ihá pitáro jīvā́ ihá vayáṃ smaḥ |
asmā́m̐s té 'nu vayáṃ téṣāṃ śréṣṭhā bhūyāsma ||87||
They who are here, O Fathers—alive here are we—[be] they after us; may we be the best of them.
