rā́tri mā́tar uṣáse naḥ pári dehi |
uṣā́ no áhne pári dadātv áhas túbhyaṃ vibhāvari ||2||
O night! mother! commit thou us to the dawn; let the dawn commit us to the day, the day to thee, O shining one (vibhādvarī).
