prathamā́ ha vy ùvāsa sā́ dhenúr abhavad yamé |
sā́ naḥ páyasvatī duhām úttarāmuttarām sámām ||1||
She first shone out; she became a milch-cow at Yama's; let her, rich in milk, yield (duh) to us each further summer (? sámā).
