máyy ágre agníṃ gr̥hṇāmi sahá kṣatréṇa várcasā bálena |
máyi prajā́ṃ máyy ā́yur dadhāmi svā́hā máyy agním ||2||
I seize in me Agni at first, together with dominion, splendor, strength; in me I put progeny, in me lifetime,—hail!—in me Agni.
