sū̱ryā̱ca̱ndra̱masau̍ dhā̱tā ya̍thāpū̱rvam a̍kalpayat |
diva̍ṁ ca pṛthi̱vīṁ cā̱ntari̍kṣa̱m atho̱ sva̍ḥ ||
Dhatar, the great Creator, then formed in due order Sun and Moon. He formed in order Heaven and Earth, the regions of the air, and light.
