8.35.1
a̱gninendre̍ṇa̱ varu̍ṇena̱ viṣṇu̍nādi̱tyai ru̱drair vasu̍bhiḥ sacā̱bhuvā̍ |
sa̱joṣa̍sā u̱ṣasā̱ sūrye̍ṇa ca̱ soma̍m pibatam aśvinā ||
WITH Agni and with Indra, Vishṇu. Varuṇa, with the Âdityas, Rudras, Vasus, closely leagued; Accordant, of one mind with Sûrya and with Dawn, O Aṣvins, drink the Soma juice.
8.35.2
viśvā̍bhir dhī̱bhir bhuva̍nena vājinā di̱vā pṛ̍thi̱vyādri̍bhiḥ sacā̱bhuvā̍ |
sa̱joṣa̍sā u̱ṣasā̱ sūrye̍ṇa ca̱ soma̍m pibatam aśvinā ||
With all the Holy Thoughts, all being Mighty Ones! in close alliance wil the Mountains, Heaven, and Earth; Accordant. of one mind with Sûrya and with Dawn, O Aṣvins, drink the Soma juice.

viśvai̍r de̱vais tri̱bhir e̍kāda̱śair i̱hādbhir ma̱rudbhi̱r bhṛgu̍bhiḥ sacā̱bhuvā̍ |
sa̱joṣa̍sā u̱ṣasā̱ sūrye̍ṇa ca̱ soma̍m pibatam aśvinā ||
With all the Deities, three times eleven, here, in close alliance with the Maruts, Bhṛigus, Floods; Accordant, of one mind with Sûrya and with Dawn, O Aṣvins, drink the Soma juice.

ju̱ṣethā̍ṁ ya̱jñam bodha̍ta̱ṁ hava̍sya me̱ viśve̱ha de̍vau̱ sava̱nāva̍ gacchatam |
sa̱joṣa̍sā u̱ṣasā̱ sūrye̍ṇa̱ ceṣa̍ṁ no voḻham aśvinā ||
Accept the sacrifice, attend to this my call: come nigh, O ye Twain Gods, to all libations here. Accordant, of one mind with Sûrya and with Dawn, O Aṣvins, bring us strengthening food.

stoma̍ṁ juṣethāṁ yuva̱śeva̍ ka̱nyanā̱ṁ viśve̱ha de̍vau̱ sava̱nāva̍ gacchatam |
sa̱joṣa̍sā u̱ṣasā̱ sūrye̍ṇa̱ ceṣa̍ṁ no voḻham aśvinā ||
Accept our praise-song as a youth accepts a maid. Come nigh, O ye Twain Gods, to all libations here. Accordant, of one mind with Sarya and with Dawn O Aṣvins, bring us strengthening food.

giro̍ juṣethām adhva̱raṁ ju̍ṣethā̱ṁ viśve̱ha de̍vau̱ sava̱nāva̍ gacchatam |
sa̱joṣa̍sā u̱ṣasā̱ sūrye̍ṇa̱ ceṣa̍ṁ no voḻham aśvinā ||
Accept the songs we sing, accept the solemn rite. Conie nigh, O ye Twain Gods, to all libations here. Accordant, of one mind with Sûrya and with Dawn, O Aṣvins, bring us strengthening food.

hā̱ri̱dra̱veva̍ patatho̱ vaned upa̱ soma̍ṁ su̱tam ma̍hi̱ṣevāva̍ gacchathaḥ |
sa̱joṣa̍sā u̱ṣasā̱ sūrye̍ṇa ca̱ trir va̱rtir yā̍tam aśvinā ||
Ye fly as starlings fly unto the forest trees; like buffaloes ye seek the Soma we have shed. Accordant, of one mind with Sûrya and with Dawn, come thrice, O Aṣvins, to our home.

ha̱ṁsāv i̍va patatho adhva̱gāv i̍va̱ soma̍ṁ su̱tam ma̍hi̱ṣevāva̍ gacchathaḥ |
sa̱joṣa̍sā u̱ṣasā̱ sūrye̍ṇa ca̱ trir va̱rtir yā̍tam aśvinā ||
Ye fly like swans, like those who travel on their way; like buffaloes ye seek the Soma we have shed. Accordant, of one mind with Sûrya and with Dawn, come thrice, O Aṣvins, to our home.

śye̱nāv i̍va patatho ha̱vyadā̍taye̱ soma̍ṁ su̱tam ma̍hi̱ṣevāva̍ gacchathaḥ |
sa̱joṣa̍sā u̱ṣasā̱ sūrye̍ṇa ca̱ trir va̱rtir yā̍tam aśvinā ||
Ye fly to our oblation like a pair of hawks; like buffaloes ye seek the Soma we have shed. Accordant, of one mind with Sûrya and with Dawn, come thrice, O Aṣvins, to our home.

piba̍taṁ ca tṛpṇu̱taṁ cā ca̍ gacchatam pra̱jāṁ ca̍ dha̱ttaṁ dravi̍ṇaṁ ca dhattam |
sa̱joṣa̍sā u̱ṣasā̱ sūrye̍ṇa̱ corja̍ṁ no dhattam aśvinā ||
Come hitherward and drink and satisfy yourselves, bestow upon us progeny and affluence. Accordant, of one mind with Sûrya and with Dawn, O Aṣvins, grant us vigorous strength.

jaya̍taṁ ca̱ pra stu̍taṁ ca̱ pra cā̍vatam pra̱jāṁ ca̍ dha̱ttaṁ dravi̍ṇaṁ ca dhattam |
sa̱joṣa̍sā u̱ṣasā̱ sūrye̍ṇa̱ corja̍ṁ no dhattam aśvinā ||
Conquer your foes, protect us, praise your worshippers; bestow upon us progeny and affluence. Accordant, of one mind with Sûrya and with Dawn, O Aṣvins, grant us vigolms strength.

ha̱taṁ ca̱ śatrū̱n yata̍taṁ ca mi̱triṇa̍ḥ pra̱jāṁ ca̍ dha̱ttaṁ dravi̍ṇaṁ ca dhattam |
sa̱joṣa̍sā u̱ṣasā̱ sūrye̍ṇa̱ corja̍ṁ no dhattam aśvinā ||
Slay enemies, animate men whom ye befriend; bestow upon us progeny and aff luence. Accordant, of one mind with Sûrya and with Dawn, O Aṣvins, grant us vigorous strength.

mi̱trāvaru̍ṇavantā u̱ta dharma̍vantā ma̱rutva̍ntā jari̱tur ga̍cchatho̱ hava̍m |
sa̱joṣa̍sā u̱ṣasā̱ sūrye̍ṇa cādi̱tyair yā̍tam aśvinā ||
With Mitra, Varuṇa, Dharma, and the Maruts in your company approach unto your praiser's call. Accordant, of one mind with Sûrya and with Dawn, and with the Âdityas, Aṣvins! come.

aṅgi̍rasvantā u̱ta viṣṇu̍vantā ma̱rutva̍ntā jari̱tur ga̍cchatho̱ hava̍m |
sa̱joṣa̍sā u̱ṣasā̱ sūrye̍ṇa cādi̱tyair yā̍tam aśvinā ||
With Vishṇu and the Angirases attending you, and with the Maruts come unto your praiser's call. Accordant, of one mind with Sûrya and with Dawn, and with the Âdityas, Aṣvins! come.

ṛ̱bhu̱mantā̍ vṛṣaṇā̱ vāja̍vantā ma̱rutva̍ntā jari̱tur ga̍cchatho̱ hava̍m |
sa̱joṣa̍sā u̱ṣasā̱ sūrye̍ṇa cādi̱tyair yā̍tam aśvinā ||
With Ṛibhus and With Vâjas. O ye Mighty Ones, leagued with the Maruts come ye to your praiser's call. Accordant, of one mind with Sûrya and with Dawn, and with the Âdityas, Aṣvins! come.

brahma̍ jinvatam u̱ta ji̍nvata̱ṁ dhiyo̍ ha̱taṁ rakṣā̍ṁsi̱ sedha̍ta̱m amī̍vāḥ |
sa̱joṣa̍sā u̱ṣasā̱ sūrye̍ṇa ca̱ soma̍ṁ sunva̱to a̍śvinā ||
Give spirit to our prayer and animate our thoughts; slay ye the Raksasas and drive away disease. Accordant, of One mind with Sûrya and with Dawn, -the presser's Soma, Aṣvins drink.

kṣa̱traṁ ji̍nvatam u̱ta ji̍nvata̱ṁ nṝn ha̱taṁ rakṣā̍ṁsi̱ sedha̍ta̱m amī̍vāḥ |
sa̱joṣa̍sā u̱ṣasā̱ sūrye̍ṇa ca̱ soma̍ṁ sunva̱to a̍śvinā ||
Strengthen the Ruling Power, strengthen the men of war; slay ye the Raksasas and drive away disease. Accordant, of one mind with Sûrya and with Dawn, the presser's Soma, Aṣvins drink.

dhe̱nūr ji̍nvatam u̱ta ji̍nvata̱ṁ viśo̍ ha̱taṁ rakṣā̍ṁsi̱ sedha̍ta̱m amī̍vāḥ |
sa̱joṣa̍sā u̱ṣasā̱ sūrye̍ṇa ca̱ soma̍ṁ sunva̱to a̍śvinā ||
Give strength unto the milch-kine, give the people strength, slay ye the Raksasas and drive away disease. Accordant, of one mind with Sûrya and with Dawn, the presser's Soma, Aṣvins drink.

atre̍r iva śṛṇutam pū̱rvyastu̍tiṁ śyā̱vāśva̍sya sunva̱to ma̍dacyutā |
sa̱joṣa̍sā u̱ṣasā̱ sūrye̍ṇa̱ cāśvi̍nā ti̱roa̍hnyam ||
As ye heard Atri's earliest eulogy, so hear Ṣyâvâṣva, Soma-presser, ye who reel in joy. Accordant, of one mind with Sûrya and with Dawn, drink juice, O Aṣvins, three days old.
8.35.20
sargā̍m̐ iva sṛjataṁ suṣṭu̱tīr upa̍ śyā̱vāśva̍sya sunva̱to ma̍dacyutā |
sa̱joṣa̍sā u̱ṣasā̱ sūrye̍ṇa̱ cāśvi̍nā ti̱roa̍hnyam ||
Further like running streams Ṣyâvâṣva's eulogies who presses out the Soma, ye who reel in joy. Accordant, of one mind with Sûrya and with Dawn, drink juice, O Aṣvins, three days old.

ra̱śmīm̐r i̍va yacchatam adhva̱rām̐ upa̍ śyā̱vāśva̍sya sunva̱to ma̍dacyutā |
sa̱joṣa̍sā u̱ṣasā̱ sūrye̍ṇa̱ cāśvi̍nā ti̱roa̍hnyam ||
Seize, as ye grasp the reins, Ṣyâvâṣva's solemn rites who presses out the Soma, ye who reel in joy. Accordant, of one mind with Sûrya and with Dawn, drink juice, O Aṣvins, three days old.
8.35.22
a̱rvāg ratha̱ṁ ni ya̍cchata̱m piba̍taṁ so̱myam madhu̍ |
ā yā̍tam aśvi̱nā ga̍tam ava̱syur vā̍m a̱haṁ hu̍ve dha̱ttaṁ ratnā̍ni dā̱śuṣe̍ ||
Drive down your chariot hitherward drink ye the Soma's savoury juice. Approach, ye Aṣvins, come to us: I call you, eager for your aid. Grant treasures to the worshipper.
8.35.23
na̱mo̱vā̱ke prasthi̍te adhva̱re na̍rā vi̱vakṣa̍ṇasya pī̱taye̍ |
ā yā̍tam aśvi̱nā ga̍tam ava̱syur vā̍m a̱haṁ hu̍ve dha̱ttaṁ ratnā̍ni dā̱śuṣe̍ ||
When sacrifice which tells our reverence hath begun. Heroes! to drink the gushing juice, Approach, ye Aṣvins, come to us: I call you, eager for your aid. Grant treasures to the worshipper.
8.35.24
svāhā̍kṛtasya tṛmpataṁ su̱tasya̍ devā̱v andha̍saḥ |
ā yā̍tam aśvi̱nā ga̍tam ava̱syur vā̍m a̱haṁ hu̍ve dha̱ttaṁ ratnā̍ni dā̱śuṣe̍ ||
Sate you with consecrated drink, with juice effused, ye Deities. Approach, ye Aṣvins, come to us: I call you, eager for your aid. Grant treasures to the worshipper.
